Overton Square’s historic venue Lafayette’s Music room serves up a 2018 celebration with performances from party bands Pearl and Almost Famous. Memphis psych-rockers Spaceface promises a interactive 3-D concert production for their New Year’s Eve set at the Young Avenue Deli. Growlers on Poplar will offer a New Year’s Eve filled with jam band sounds from The Schwag. R&B artist William Davenport will perform at the Memphis Sounds to celebrate 2018. William Davenport, Memphis Sounds Lounge, 22 N. Old Dominick Distillery and Railgarten present a free show featuring Stax Records-signed soul-blues band Southern Avenue will perform along with Mark Edgar Stuart and Sid Selvidge, the Stax Academy Alumni Band, and Star and Micey, with DJ Pressure World spinning in between sets. ![]() Southern Avenue, Railgarten, 2158 Central Avenue, 7 p.m. King’s Blues Band featuring Tito Jackson (11 p.m.) before a countdown to 2018 and the fireworks finale. The lineup kicks off with The Fabulous Exclusive Soul Review Band (8:45 p.m.), continues with Karma (10:35 p.m.) and B.B. The event will also be broadcast live via the street’s social media channels. The show is part of a night-long celebration of Memphis music, including sets from local performers. ![]() The New Year’s Eve concert is free and open to all 21 years old and older. Their album will be released April with a world tour to follow in 2018. King’s Blues Band in Memphis at Ardent Studios, playing his guitar that he affectionately named Katie, in honor of his mother Katherine. Jackson will also be recording his first album with B.B. This fall Jackson, formerly of the Jackson 5, announced that he would be the new lead singer of B.B. The performance will be his first as the lead singer of the late B.B. Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary Jackson musical family will be headlining the New Year’s on Beale Street on the east end stage at Fourth and Beale.
